Twitch’s biggest streamer and former pro gamer Summit1g has bashed EA for developing Skate 3 mobile version over Skate 4. His statement came after professional skateboarder and actor Jason Dill criticized EA on a podcast hosted by Chris Roberts.
What is EA doing with Skate game?
The last game in Skate franchise of EA was released in May 2010 over a decade ago. Skate was first released in 2007 followed by Skate two just after two years in 2009 and with humongous success of the series they released Skate 3 in 2010.
The video game series was popular among fans and critics and the sales numbers reflected the success. 2.68 million copies were sold of Skate 3. For some unknown reason, EA decided to not continue the series and after over a decade they are working on Skate 3 mobile instead of Skate 4.
It is reported that EA is working on Skate 3 mobile version since June 2019 because that is the time when skateboard legend Jason Dill was contacted by the EA team to come on board.
But even though fans have been requesting EA for the Skate 4 there has been no response form EA about it which has lead to the disappointment among the gamers. Reddit has been filled with meme material about how fans are treated by EA, here is one of those meme:
Jason Dill said to EA, “no one wants your stupid mobile version of Skate 3”
Professional skateboarders and fans are on the same page regarding the Skate series. On the podcast hosted by Chris Roberts, Jason Dill said he got a call from EA team in 2019 regarding mobile version of Skate 3.
How is what he said, “I got a call from the EA people about 10 months ago, and they said, hey, we want to talk about the Skate games. This woman emailed me, and she said, basically, ‘Hey Jason, we want to do a mobile version of Skate 3,’ and I wrote back and I said, ‘What else?’. “She wrote back, ‘No that’s it.’ So I wrote back, ‘Look, no big deal, no one wants your stupid mobile version of Skate 3… make Skate f*****g 4 already!”

Summit1g said, “the best coding and artwork in the world can’t save you”
Former pro gamer and currently Twitch’s biggest streamer was not kind to the EA, he said all the best coding and artwork can’t save EA if they don’t listen to the gamers.
His tweet read, “Someone at EA needs help being a gamer. Comes down to what I always say, BAD DECISIONS. All the best coding and artwork in the world can’t save you if your brain can’t think.”
Skate fans are relating to Summit1g and are accusing EA of just focusing on money instead of creating culture or a memorable experience.
